8h30: Transfer from Saigon leads to My Tho, an important market town and the gateway to the bustling floating markets of the Mekong Delta. The Mekong River, known as The Mighty Dragon or The River of the Nine Dragons in Vietnam, is the lifeline of six countries in Asia (Cambodia, Myanmar, Laos, Vietnam, Thailand, and China).
10h00: Arrive Mekong Delta and start to visit: It passes through temple cities, lush tropical forests, swamps, rice plantations and boasts of some of the richest and most fertile landscapes in the world.
Snake and scorpion wine is available for tasting at the Mekong Delta � it might not be the safest drink to have if the alcohol isn�t strong enough to preserve the animals. A rack of bees on display after a honey tasting during the Mekong Delta day tour.

It was built by the Cantonese community around the turn of the 20th century and is still buzzing with worshippers, many lounging in the front gardens.
